Greedy TN ministers!!!!

The members of the Tamil Nadu assembly recently has raised a request for providing special houses for each of the members in chennai to perform the public work.

Our politicians really surprise us with these kinds of request. A elected representative should be present in his consituency most of the time during his/her tenure to perform real public work. The elected representative should be immediately available for the needs and request of the people who elected him/her. How would the people contact them, if they sit in a luxury house at chennai? How would he address the issues on a prority basis? They dont give a damn about these things. Our members want a house in chennai becoz property prices and comfort is good in chennai.

Besides, we already have a well furnished and maintain MLA hostel in chennai for temporary lodging of the members when they visit chennai. Why the hell do they need seperate houses?

Family Politics

Today's headlines - Dayanidhi Maran was forced to resign from the cabinet post he has been holding due to DMK's family feud. Another shameful incident which emphasize the presence of family politics in India.

Lets take a look at the DMK patriarch's family and how it runs the 'SARKAR' for all these years.
MK has three sons namely Stalin, Azhagiri and Thennarasu. TN state was divided among each son who manage!!! their respective region by their own rules. So where does Maran comes into picture? He, his brother and his father late Murasoli Maran understands the monetary advantages of capitalism and made hell lot of money through it. All these days they were the mouth and backbone for the publicity of DMK. Maran aligned with Stalin supporters to sideline Azhagiri who has dozens of criminal cases against him already. Azagiri was considered the blacksheep of the family and was kept on isolation many times. The recent opinion poll conducted by Dinakaran(also owned by Maran) and Sun TV were just an act by Maran to show his loyalty to Stalin who is likely to lead DMK in the near future. Maran cannot be the party leader individually as he lacked the political charisma needed in TN politics. He is educated like his father and can only stand behind Stalin to do politics as his father did standing behind MK. He understood this clearly and so the idea of opinion poll to show his loyalty. But it backfired for him.

MK and his sons sees Maran as a immdiate threat for them and their politics and hence they forced him to quit from cabinet and most likely from party as well. This is not new to MK as he had done this to Vaiko before who was seen as a vital competitor to Stalin then and hence was expelled from the party. He himself was so obsessed with power that he expelled MGR from party as he became a threat to his own position in the party. So in TN politics, history is kind of repeating itself.....

What happens to the fate of Maran and his family owned media will be known in the days to come.

Voting for the caste, instead of casting vote!!!!

The recent UP elections were less of a surprise for the public as the exit poll already predicted mayavathi victory. When we observe the elections results, it is quite clear that Maya's tricked had worked out well, despite BJP's hindutva campaign and congress's so called Rahul Charisma(I wonder!!!). But can this be termed as a Dalit victory?

The media claims Maya had turned her party in to sarvasamaj from bahujansamaj. Now that she had won, she won't care for forward communities due to their so called party idealogy. It is a clear victory for her party, her politics, her career and her tactics. But there ends all the sarvasamaj propaganda and promises. It is a party run by the support of goondas, so we can't expect a fair show from BSP. Besides she has her traditional dalit causes to be satisfied and that would favour more of communal divide rather than unity. Are the forward communities going to feel better in BSP government, I doubt it. There will be communal clashes in the name of caste and revenge will be taken for attack on dalits in maharashtra and other places throughout the country without thinking about the consequences.

Our country is already burning in the name of caste and this is going to add fuel to it. The results of UP shows how cleary divided the people of UP are based on caste. Put a Bhramin as candidate in a brahmin area, takur in a takur area, muslim in muslim locality and a dalit in a dalit populated region. So people have decide to check the caste and religion of the candidate before electing him to the assembly.

So now what's the point in calling ourselves secular????

Mumbai attack...!!!!!

What is the need of the hour in india after Mumbai attack?

Like all of you, i was shattered when i heard about another bomb attack in the mumbai metro rail network killing nearly 200 people. Such a loss of life had definitely affected people's mind but mumbaikars have been asked to carry on their life as usual. What does the government meant by saying 'as usual'. How come the families of 200 people can carry on as usual? How come the passengers board the train as usual? How come the people in the entire city feel safe?

I would salute the neta's of india, if they had done what had to be done. A serious retaliation by physical means. PM told the people of india, that he and everyone knows who is behind this attack and gave usual warnings. I use the word 'usual warnings' because it has become an habbit with the indian politicians to show false courage with words and nothing in action. We had faced such attacks before and people have died before. When someone is killed in this way, it is a murder and the criminals responsible for this should be punished. But the government consistently failed to punish these criminals and terrorists.

How can the people trust the government if its attitute towards terror is not firm. Whether it is diplomatic or military means, whatever is needed, had to be done so that these attacks won't happen again. Does the government think losing few lives in crores of population is not a big deal?

We all see a similar bomb attack happened in london last year. There were intelligence failures and mistakes made initially but the agencies were quick enough to identify their mistakes and nabbed the culprits behind the attack. Can we expect the same from mumbai police? Say even if they catch the terrorist who planted the bomb, what are they going to do to the criminals who masterminded it? We all knew this is co-ordinated from outside india as mentioned by our PM himself and hence the police has their limitations. In UK, the scotland yard works closely with intelligence agencies such as MI6 and MI5 in matters such as these and they could go to any level to punish the terrorists. Whereas in india, we dont hear or see anything serious from our so called Intelligence agencies. As far as i could see, our intelligence agencies never predicted or gathered information about any attacks neither before or after any attack. They failed in intelligence gathering at all times and we have plenty of examples like Kargil, Parliment attack etc.

It is high time for the government to revamp the intelligence agencies of india and put them under strict and efficient management so that we get what we expected out of them, 'Warnings' about possible threat to our society and people. Again, i stress that in order to protect people from terror, just the police department is not enough. We need strong and covert intelligence agencies with efficient skills who would have the power to find, prevent and punish the elements of threat to india and its people.

Will the government realize this?
